? ? ? ? ? ? ?การตัดสินใจและความตั้งใจที่จะเลี้ยงลูกด้วยนมแม่ การตัดสินใจเลี้ยงลูกด้วยนมแม่ เป็นปัจจัยที่มีอิทธิพลต่อการเลี้ยงลูกด้วยนมแม่มากและเป็นตัวทำนายลักษณะการให้อาหารแก่ทารกแรกเกิด1 สำหรับความตั้งใจที่จะเลี้ยงลูกด้วยนมแม่เป็นหนึ่งในปัจจัยที่สำคัญโดยหากมารดามีความตั้งใจจะเลี้ยงลูกด้วยนมแม่เป็นระยะเวลานาน พบว่าสามารถเลี้ยงลูกด้วยนมแม่ได้นานกว่า2,3 ความเครียด ความวิตกกังวลและอาการซึมเศร้าในระยะฝากครรภ์จะเป็นตัวทำนายความตั้งใจที่จะเลี้ยงลูกด้วยนมแม่4,5 นอกจากนี้ยังพบว่า ความใส่ใจต่อข้อแนะนำในการเลี้ยงลูกด้วยนมแม่อย่างเดียวหกเดือน6 ทัศนคติที่ดีต่อการเลี้ยงลูกด้วยนมแม่ ประวัติการเลี้ยงลูกด้วยนมแม่ในครรภ์ก่อน และการสนับสนุนจากสามีมีความสัมพันธ์ต่อความตั้งใจที่จะเลี้ยงลูกด้วยนมแม่ด้วย7
