? ? ? ? ? ?ทารกน้ำหนักตัวน้อยกับการเลี้ยงลูกด้วยนมแม่ การที่ทารกมีน้ำหนักตัวน้อยจะมีความยากลำบากในการเลี้ยงลูกด้วยนมแม่1 โดยผลลบต่อการเลี้ยงลูกด้วยนมแม่จะมีหากทารกมีน้ำหนักตัวแรกคลอดน้อยกว่า 2500 กรัม2 ปัจจัยที่จะช่วยในการเลี้ยงลูกด้วยนมแม่ในทารกที่น้ำหนักตัวน้อย คือ การเริ่มให้อาหารทางปากเร็ว3 การให้ทารกดูดจากเต้าหลังการปั๊มนมออก (non-nutritive sucking)4 และการให้ผิวทารกสัมผัสกับมารดาในลักษณะเหมือนจิงโจ้ (kangaroo care)5
