? ? ? ? ? ? ?อาชีพกับการเลี้ยงลูกด้วยนมแม่ พบบางอาชีพอาจเป็นอุปสรรคต่อการเลี้ยงลูกด้วยนมแม่ ได้แก่ ทหาร1 อาชีพลูกจ้างมีความเสี่ยงในการหยุดเลี้ยงลูกด้วยนมแม่สูงกว่ามารดาที่เป็นแม่บ้านหรือมีธุรกิจส่วนตัว2 สำหรับอาชีพบุคลากรที่ทำงานในโรงพยาบาลที่ส่งเสริมการเลี้ยงลูกด้วยนมแม่พบว่ามีอัตราการเลี้ยงลูกด้วยนมแม่สูงกว่ามารดาทั่วไปถึง 5.6 เท่า (95% CI 3.5-8.8)?3
